Summer in the Bavarian Forest
Summer in the Bavarian Forest has its very own magic — fresh forest air, sweeping views and plenty of nature to breathe in.
From here you'll quickly reach the Dragon's Cave in Furth im Wald. Things get wild at the Bayerwald Tierpark Lohberg with wolves, lynxes and native game. And if the family is up for some thrills, the Kurpfalz-Park awaits with a roller coaster, slides and a wildlife enclosure.
And in the evening: a cool drink on the terrace, delicious food and a cosy room.

Winter in the Bavarian Forest
Winter in the Bavarian Forest has plenty to offer — fresh air, snow-covered woods and lots of ways to spend an active day.
From here you can quickly reach toboggan runs and well-marked snowshoe trails. The ski areas at Großer Arber and Hohenbogen are ideal for relaxed days on the slopes, and cross-country skiers will find perfectly groomed trails right in the region. There's also an ice skating rink nearby.
And when warmth calls after an active day outdoors, our hotel sauna is waiting — small and cosy, but just right for warming up.

Historic open-air play right on our doorstep
Since 1950, the people of Waldmünchen have been performing their own history: the summer open-air play brings around 300 amateur performers, horses and pyrotechnics to the stage — Bavarian history you can reach out and touch, for the whole family. The open-air stage is just a few minutes' walk from the hotel. In 2026, the play will be performed for the 75th and final time in its current version.
